I am a retired gentleman with a few games going who would like to play a little more against people. There seems to be a pattern where the player who loses does not want to play again. I have played several games that I lost and did not want to play again. I have won against several players and they did not want to play again. There are a few like Dawgoneit who love to play and will not quit playing you. What I would like to try is sort of an automatic bid improvement for the losing player. For example: I lose a G41 with no bid then if we play again same sides then I get a 10 or 20 bid sort of depending on how bad I got beat. I win at 20 we go to 10. I win at 10 we go to no bid.
If you want to play without the bid improvement just let me know and we can do it the more common way.

Hello all,
Been absent for sometime and finally carving out a bit of time to play again. Realistically, can only get a move in about once a week. If this pace is acceptable, would like to play a game with you.
Please let me know.
thanks

Hello Killroy, I would like to play a game of AA ww II Global 1940 2nd edition. My email is bolderbob@aol.com for the dice. What do you say? - Chef

Sounds good Chef. Bid to play Axis? I also like the idea of switching sides after the first game with the same bid. Interested?
-
sure, we can do that. though at one turn per week, might be awhile. :). I bid 16 to be allies.
-
Ha! Yes, approximately 3 years… :-D
So, on your bid, I’m used to bidding up the bid to play the axis. Are you bidding down to play the allies? Either works, just confused a bit.
Please let me know. Thanks
-
Most of the other players offer cash bid to the player taking the Allies. So Allies +16 would be you Axis, me Allies, plus place an additional 16 ipc in allied territory. What version are we talking? If Global 1940 2nd edition, Axis doesn’t need any cash to win on 1 or both sides of board.
-
Yes to 2nd addition and definitely yes to the fact that the allies are a bit weak and need to have a bid to get things equal. So, sounds like bidding down to play the axis it seems. I’ll bid +15 to play the allies.
-
allies plus 14. I suspect you are very good player and I need all help I can get.
-
Ha! I like your suspicion, but I think others on the forum would tell you I’m pretty darn average compared to some of the folks here. There are some really, really good and creative players here. Always learn a lot!
