Unfortunately I forgot protocol and didn’t ask if you wanted to scramble. Meaning you lost a fighter you otherwise might not have lost. We have 3 options. First we can re-roll that battle without the fighters. Second we leave it as it is as the fighters did kill 3 submarines. Thirdly we take out the hits done by the fighters, meaning I get +3 submarines and you get your fighter back, but you lose the destroyer still and the submarines are placed back in z6.
