I play this awesome game nearly every night on multyplayer. Does anybody else have this game on PC? If so we can team up and kick arse. I usually place first or second and i love to kill snipers and campers!

Good! this game is the best i have played. Its awesome! They redid some maps much better, but included alot of new maps. Some servers even have stukas dropping bombs on you!

I can’t wait to see how the BAR functions in COD2. It was my favorite weapon in COD1, and I could usually do pretty well with it.
Did they redo the Brecourt level? What about the hedgerow one (can’t remember the name…)? I never really cared for the Russian levels, because I hated playing as them and fighting against them. The UK ones were OK.

This is the list of multy maps: note some are best with CTF while others favor a sniper fest TDM or DM
I really kick a** at any of the desert maps or the maps in France. I hate the Soviet maps because many people just camp and snipe from long range. They redid the ones that are in france. The grafics are awesome! They made it easier to jump over stuff, and while you can be hit just once … you still survive … you just wait a few seconds… and your good to go. If you take 2 or more hits real quick you die and wait for respawn. The CTF games are the best, but TDM is good too. At go gamer you spend 55.00 and you get the game and a game pad with a special keyboard pack with big buttons for W,A,S,D movement.

Ah yes…it was called Bocage. A wonderful map, if it’s the same. If not, I’ll still look forward to it.
Is St. Mere-Eglise the bombed out town from the first one?

- Yes its the same, plus the “dawnville” map The windows have a blueish hue in the church.
- Yes similiar all are better… much better and some servers got Stukas bombing the Soviets ( and you if your not carefull)
One of the big differences is no more health packs, rather you get hit lightly and you survive otherwise you die. I didnt like the" killin for health packs strategy".

Just found out that the internet cafe I sometimes play at will be getting COD2 soon. Nice! This will be good until I get my notebook set up.
I’ve played a bit of COD2 single player, but not enough to satisfy.I’ve also got the Big Red One for PS2, and it’s leaps and bounds better than the first (which was a disgrace to the COD name). Possibly the best PS2 WW2 shooter out there.

I got united offensive which wasnt that bad, nothing like COD2.
MY other two favorites of all time is “soldier of fortune II” and Castle Wofenstein (the latest one) . I never liked how the people move around in BF1942. it was like a puppet. -
Bf1942 was great at the time. In hindsight, it’s not that great, especially in the light of Bf2.

I loved it in CoD1. Sometimes I’d use the G43, and often would prefer the MP40 over the Stg44, but either was good on the right map.
However, we are going to have to play as the Americans at some point. I love the American weapons, particularly the BAR.

I got CoD 2 when it came out via torrent. I would play on cracked servers but they were just too laggy. However my LAN buddy told me he has a copy of the game because it came for free with his new video card. He doesnt play it so hes willing to give it to me for free, so I can play with you guys sometime soon. I especially love Carentan and St. Mere Eglise (mp_dawnville for all you CoD players). Of the new maps, I like playing Beltot and both desert maps (I forget their names). Brecourt is an old CoD map that I love too cause it was in Band of Brothers. Anyways, pm me if you guys want to play some CoD 2 with me. Im pretty decent at this game, I can cap some heads with the K98 rifle. :wink:

Ok, just got my laptop 2 days ago.
I’m going to see how it runs, then I’ll get in contact with you guys about playing. -
I bought it when it came out for the 360. Thanks to a patch, Xbox Live’s interface is now on par with that of the PC. I’m trying to crawl my way through the veteran setting. I spent a week on the cliffs of Pointe Du Hoc alone. I shudder to think what Hill 400 will be like.
