If I remember correctly, Britain had to evacuate its nationals from Aden on short notice in 1967 due to an uprising of some sort. I think the Royal Marines and the SAS provided cover for the operation – but I may be confusing this story with another evacuation from Aden (this one during the 1986 civil war there) in which HMY Britannia participated. Being evacuated on a Royal Yacht certainly beats being packed into a destroyer or aboard a rusty old tramp steamer.
