I do not wish to be misrepresented or misunderstood. I do not wish to make arguments at people with no interest in hearing them. Those are my goals.
As what (from where I’m sitting, perhaps incorrectly it seems) is being misunderstood and misrepresented are my beliefs it is difficult to keep from being misrepresented or misunderstood without making arguments at people with no interest in hearing them.
What I’m trying to do is be diplomatic. :-)

Looking through the posts above, I can’t see any God-hating going on.
I can scarcely hate an entity I don’t believe is real. What I do dislike passionately is people claiming to represent said entity without the slightest authority.
If such a being does exist I can hardly believe he’d stand by all those who so arrogantly misrepresent him, including non-Jews who fail to get that he wasn’t interested in the welfare of anyone but his own chosen folk. Or is it just possible that one of them is correct, and has a perfect understanding of His great omnipotent mind?
Someone mentioned Santa; so why do boys stop believing in him when they grow up, but continue to worship God? At least Saint Niclaus is based on a real person.

I often find that when you start throwing labels at others like “You are bitter” that its often wise to not post that, take a breath then investigate the possible irony of the statement you are about to utter.
When you say you are an atheist you imply religious types have it all wrong. How is this different to non-Christian religious types when you claim you are Christian?
I know of no atheist organisations that compare to say the westbro baptist church. Obviously not all religious groups are like this, but i know of at least one that is. That is one more than any atheist group in their radical degree of ideology promotion.
God is great, every single one of them. By definition for sure.

It is my experience in general that the godless are the one with the hard-on bloodlust/bone to pick with the faithful.
I mean, it’s not exactly like the good old days where people are “rounded” up in witch hunts and burned at the stake.
Many godless folk just can’t leave well enough alone, Oh No! They have to make efforts to ban books, speeches, and the word “christmas”. Or wearing religious symbols in the workplace (This is a constitutional crisis in Quebec at the moment).
Anyways, if a bunch of Yankee Doodles want to erect a statue of Satan. Great! I’m going to visit and take a dump on his lap, and paint LARRY HARRIS WAS HERE on his throne.

What came first were simple single celled organisms that reproduced by division. They evolved over million years into more complex forms such as, yes, chickens.
It is precisely WHEN you look, really LOOK, into Bible history that you find out how it has been misrepresented and re-written by the church. For example it talks of the sons of the Gods coming down to earth and mating with human females to produce a race of giants. Where does that sit with your one-and-only God theory? Where did God come from? Why did he create sinful beings and then delight in punishing them for the sins he had them born with? Why do Christians believe in a Jewish God and concept of heaven, yet take their view of Hell from Norse mythology (there is no hell in Judaism)? Why do they persist in believing Jesus died on the cross against all the evidence?
