The UK AA rolls listed by Marti were 2,2,6,6,1,1,6,3 against 3 Fs, 2 Tacs, and 3 bombers. Yet the 2 AA hits were taken against Fs. I thought we had agreed that for this particular case, the first three AA rolls (2,2,6) would be against the Fs, the next two AA rolls (6,1) would against the Tacs, and the last three AA rolls (1,6,3) would be against the bombers.

sorry brother…forgot about this, please edit this change and if you wish we can re-roll. I almost didn’t bring any aircraft because I really don’t think I need it but thought what the hell…at this stage I think the game is pretty much over so I just went through the motions and went quickly, no excuse. I agree that, with the lost of the Japanese fleet, the game is definitely on a downward trajectory for the Axis. (It would have been a struggle even with the Japanese fleet.) I’d like to continue for one more, may be a couple of, rounds simply to learn more about the game. Just for the fun of it, I’d like to re-roll the UK battle with 3 US fighters, 1 Tac, and 2 bombers. I don’t suspect it will make much of difference.

Even if the Axis lost, the battle without air support would have left the US without a strong ground force. I left the two German fighters in the UK precisely because it forced a choice between not risking air power but sustaining unacceptable losses of ground units or risking AA loses to your air units but ensuring an overwhelming victory and the survival of a large ground force .

yeah we can continue for as long as you like. I am cool with that. I will re-roll this battle here in the forum and then edit the file and re-post it. I thought I had an 80% chance of taking London w/out air, perhaps it was less than that. I didn’t really give it that much thought….ok here goes the re-roll after the aa fire which was 2 hits against one tac & one bmb…
