  • I would appreciate clarification on the scramble rule. My understanding of the rule is that the Allied fighters in the UK could be scrambled to SZ 109 and SZ 110, but not SZ 111 and SZ 119 or Scotland, to defend against an amphibious assault. Is this correct?

    You are correct. Allied fgt.'s, in this case, can be scrambled into z109 or 110 as the fgt.'s in the UK are adjacent to both sz’s and the airbase isn’t damaged to the extent that they can’t scramble.

    z111 & 119 are defended, via scramble, by the scotland airbase which is empty.

    I am curious about the U.S. transport in SZ 102, not that it seems to make any difference. My understanding of the rules is that the U.S. can have warships in the zone for long-range patrols, but not transports.

    you are correct, the usa atlantic fleet is stuck where it is until next turn…
