@JuanSpain:Hi Gamer, one question about games recorded in 2014 league and 15.
Are results posted up to 31st Oct included in 2014 league record and the ones posted on day 1 and later in 2015 league?
I have one game with no moves since a while (looks good for me anyway), but may report the no show in 2015 if the win can be recorded there.
In addition, I may post some probable defeats on day 31 instead of continuing them and punishing Tier on 2015.

First off, it is my pleasure to assist.
If you look at league rule #7, it is actually NOVEMBER 1 that is the last day of the league year. So Saturday is the last day to submit game results to count for 2014 league.
You may legitimately choose whether to call a game by default on Saturday November 1 (2014 league year) or Sunday November 2 (2015 league year). By the same token, you could choose to resign a game by Saturday November 1 to keep it from counting in 2015. There is no rule against these decisions.
These are very good questions. I trust you will not mind if I post your PM and my response on the league thread because others are probably wondering the same thing.

Strong game by MrRoboto, had allies pinned down almost everywhere. Allies made a massive move in the med and took Italy as well as wiped out the large Italian fleet, but Germany made a good counter move by taking London in a late sea lion (it didn’t help that I had abysmal luck in that battle, including only 2 aa hits out of 21 rolls). I had anticipated he might go for the sea lion, considering his enormous air force, but I didn’t feel I had much of a choice and had to go in strong somewhere, and the med was the optimal choice from an offensive perspective.
He said he’d prefer this game be counted for 2015, but I didn’t see any topic opened for 2015 yet.

if the result was posted prior to Nov 2 it would count toward the 2014 league year. not sure why axis-ddominion would want to start 2015 with a loss. :wink:

Yeah, I feel pretty excited too :-)
Especially since it was my very first axis win against Allies with a bid as high as 14. So far I only had wins against smaller bids.
On top of that, I had very good chances to win on both sides - Pacific and europe. Germany and Japan both were huge Monsters.
And to make me even more happy: I didn’t even need any dice luck. As far as I can remember, no dicing happened.
We meant the game to be counted for 2015, that’s why the thread title also ready “15L”. We didn’t think we would make 10 full rounds in 11 days :-)

Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, because after all, you could voluntarily withhold reporting the game until next week.
However, there is a potential issue here. You’re not the only one this affects, obviously. Axis-Dominion is 7-0 and in the official league playoff race. If this game is not reported until 2015 and he reports a win against a quality player, he likely would be in the running for the playoff.
So….
You reported the game in the 2014 league season, therefore it is a 2014 game.

Uh huh, I also note that the best player Axis-dominion beat this year is at 2.60 PPG
With only 7 games, against weaker players, with no losses, I would submit to you that he was possibly temporarily over-rated. Mr. Roboto just proved that, by bringing him down to 3.50 in 1 game :|No offense intended to anyone, that’s just my honest assessment. I don’t know how good Axis-dominion is, I can only go by his record (who he’s played) unless I were to look at some of his game play
With all that experience and improvement, I’m anxious to see how Mr. Roboto does with a clean slate, and how he does in the secondary playoffs :-) No doubt improved from his average for the 2014 league year

one of the best games I’ve played so far. Both players agreed to count it for 2015. Opponent asked once more at the end to confirm it and because he posted it 2 days too early this win is worthless now.

I’ll undo it because you guys could have (and should have) agreed not to report the game until during the 2015 league year.
