    so, was there a point when you went, AH HA! in this game?  I enjoyed a pretty good even / advantage for the first while in the game, and even got dice help in a couple pretty major battles, and you have managed to turn it around in the last few turns and I don’t know where I made the mistake.

  • Oh, right!  The point where I managed to sink the entire Japanese fleet.  There were a few minor things; the IC in Malaya didn’t help you, that India was still alive meant I could pressure into China and get them involved again.  Anzac picked up their 2nd bonus, and the Americans could dump cash into not letting Germany/Italy win.

    I just kept plugging along, I tried really hard to stretch my IPC lead into a unit advantage.  I held some objectives away from the Axis, I neutered Italy quickly, and that was enough to put give me an IPC lead that was more permanent.

    Thanks for the feedback, I remember getting good dice and beating up the US fleet.  I suspect I was thinking at that point that the US was probably done in the Pacific, so that was very careless.

    I know my second half of 2013 improved, but I feel I’m at another valley…beating the people I should, but making no progress in improving my gameplay against those that have a game just a bit above mine.
