ugh nvm I forgot 2 battleships on your side at the beginning. How do you want to resolve that.

Bit of a pickle, not so much for the missed BBs but because you rolled good and I rolled bad.
The sim tells us that you should end up with about 23 units after. I’d be OK with setting the board to that.
That would leave you with 6 CV, 10 planes and a tipped BB.
The other option I’m good with, and one that reflects the dice throws already is just to add in 1 hit in for the first round, then 2 hits for the other 2 to reflect the two BBs and the 2 DDs that wouldn’t have sunk, if you follow.
That would put the order of battle after the last round you posted:
15 hits go to 15 us submarines. That leaves the following fleet:

I made a mistake in my post, your sub group should be down another 3 units to 4, reflecting 1 hit in the first round (8 attack factors from the BBs) and 2 hits in the second round (8 attack factors from the BBs, and 4 from the sunk DDs that should have been taken as soaks).

I actually assigned 8 hits to your capital ships (6 carriers and 2 battleships), which means all I forgot was rolling dice for the battleships.

And you are right about the kamikaze, but fortunately no 2s were rolled.

BTW third and more fair option would be rolling for the 2 battleships and change things retroactively. If you score a hit with a bs then I can sink a carrier or a submarine. If I go for the carrier nothing changes retroactively other the fact that I have less carriers left. If I go for a submarine I roll for the submarine in the following round along with the bs and if the submarine rolls a hit, then 1 hit gets removed retroactively.
