14L G40 wheatbeer (Axis) vs Boldfresh (Allies +15)

  • 17

Victory in Kiangsi isn’t a guarantee, especially with 2 aa hits. Not sure what the odds are at this moment since I can’t run the calc without it assuming aa still need to fire.

  • 12

you have odds to win the battle, which would end the game.

  • 17

Scratch my previous comment … the Chinese sorely undershot.

  • 12

wheat, i made some really really really terrible moves in this last round - like i said, should never make moves on the weekend, especially the weekend before i leave for a week’s vacation.  :?

  • 12

i meant to move my chinese from kwang to kiangsi obviously.

    good game.

  • 12

just a wham bam final round where i moved knowing you had no chance of victory SOON in the pacific as long as i made the right moves - just forgot i had to move the chinese to kiangsi, which was my obvious goal.  chinese from yunnan to kwang and from kwang to kiansi

  • 17

I’ll repeat my offer of a draw for league purposes given the exceptional play on the other half of the map.

And I would be happy to play out any alternative scenario for the sake of off-league fun.

  • 17

Since that offer is unacceptable I’ll rescind it and propose something better:

We report this result and start a new league game using any saved map of your choice as the starting scenario (Axis still lack a reroll unless you pick a map prior to J5 where I used it).

  • 17

    Okay, one more offer:

The game resumes from the end of UK13.

Optional extra: I will give the US the option to move the six strategic bombers which ended on Suiyuyan to a different territory inside China within their original range from Midway in exchange for restoring the Axis’s low luck reroll option.

Second optional extra: We can extend the turn post time limit to help avoid similar errors in the future (assuming that is acceptable under league rules).

  • 12

i think your proposal is fine…  i just ask that your newly restored LL reroll cannot be used on belarus on I13 or G14.  you can still make the attack(s), you just don’t have the LL reroll option.  i’m fine with extended turn limits and if we both agree, the league is ok with it too.  after all, this is a 2014 league game - we are way ahead of the curve :-)

  • 12

put the 6 fated us bombers in jehol.

  • 12

oh what about the midway aircraft?  can they be repositioned as well?

  • 12

    @Boldfresh:

oh what about the midway aircraft?  can they be repositioned as well?

if so, they will also go to jehol.

  • 12

    here’s the map.

  • 17

Okay, the LL reroll won’t be used to attack Belarus on either I13 or G14. Probably not going to risk that again, especially since Pacific victory should be tougher to attain now.

How long should we pick as the turn limit? If the league doesn’t technically approve we can just have a personal agreement not to bump until we exceed the duration we pick.

  • 17

I didn’t plan on making Midway part of the deal. If you want to offer the Axis another LL reroll option (two total, same I13/G14 Belarus restriction naturally), then that would be acceptable.

  • 17

I don’t mean to be a hard-@ss, but in the reason I suggested the end of UK13 is so that we trade error for error (Belarus/Kiangsi … my error potentially game-ending in a delayed capacity, your error definitely game-ending), plus both these errors force us to sacrifice good dice (Soviets in Belarus, Japan in Kiangsi).

  • 12

ok that’s fine - just put em back in midway.
