    I think I’m going to resign this game, the economic position is insurmountable and you have positional edge around the globe too.

    Yeah it’s looking very, very well for me.
    You could have held Moscow for at least one additional turn, had you not decided to give up on it. That move was really weird.

    My thinking was that by retreating I might actually catch your mechanaized forces in the south on a retreat to hold Egypt.

    I really don’t see Moscow as the end of the game, so I wanted that army to hold Caucus/Middle east. My issue, as I saw it, was that the western allies could make no progress into Western Europe.

    Well my strategy normally is, to first contain Japan as much as possible with investing heavy (basically 100%) in the pac with USA. You just need to reach the point, where UK-Pac+Anzac+China can fight Japan on their own.

    Afterwards USA can outproduce Italy+Germany on the Atlantic Ocean. Russia needs to delay Germany as long as possible, so that UK has more time to fortify Egypt until USA can overwhelm the Italian+German navy to either land in Normandy or help Egypt.

    Your problem was, that you neither clearly made a move on the Atlantic, nor on the Pacific ocean. This way, the Axis on both theaters were able to keep up with the US navy while also advancing on the mainland.

    I play to contain Italy first, then Japan, and finally Germany.  You’re analysis is interesting in that you advocate a lot more than I normally do Pacific to start the game.

    I have been trying bombers in the Atlantic and carriers in the pacific to see if that improves my fortunes in 2014.
