  • That’s why I think that it’s important for Japan to take out the American fleet if it can, even at the cost of mutual annihilation - once it’s gone it can go wild. Although I’m still thinking what to do to your UK Pacific/Anzac reaction…

    I’m also pretty happy how things are turning out in Europe and the Med. As you say, lets see how it turns out. Brits coming up?


  • UK attached. I re-rolled the UK combat move once, as the first time the result was:

    Iraq: 1 Inf, 1 ftr, 1 tac, 1 bmb vs 3 inf: 1 hit for me, 2 hits for Iraq after one round
    Yunnan: 2 Inf, 1 Art, 1 Ftr vs 3 inf: 1 hit for me, 3 hits for Japan after 2 rounds

    That was just more than I could take right now (in particular with you attacking Szwchuan and not loosing a single plane). The Iraq roll was the same on the second try (so I guess I’m still cooked) and I took one more Inf in Yunnan to bring my odds above 90% (which I guess also means I’m in deep trouble, spending my UK infantery like candy there).

    Count it as a win for you if you want, but I want to see where this goes without two freak rolls in one turn.

    Looking at the post again maybe I overreacted a bit by rerolling. I don’t know. Hope you are ok with it.

    I agree that my US move was a mistake. I should either have moved the entire fleet there or I should have withheld the carrier. But anyway, by now the allies are pretty much ready to start operations in Europe, and once things in the american sector of the pacific are a bit more secure, all these bombers (or at least most of them) can fly over to Europe.

    I was lucky on Sechwan last round, but you also rolled snake ryes in Keichow… You hit with 2 out of 8 China, about average. Happy to see that Uk inf melt away :-)
