Thanks @VictoryFirst , it’s our loss that we can’t play with you for awhile.
Thanks for the go ahead on the G40, and don’t worry about the tournament because the other guys were cool
I wish the best to you, and will be great when you come back
Time for japan baby
ok too long for me to think. i’m going to change the russian noncom again.
here it is. swapped 3 art for 3 inf between bryansk and smolensk and built 3 inf in volgo instead of 2 mech and reduced russian money by 1 ipc.

Sorry, you’re going to have to wait until tonight to see Japan 3.
Also, I’m/we are OK with the non-com changes, but I’m not too sure about the purchase changes after the fact. This isn’t something we agreed upon. I’ll talk to my partner as it sets a bit of a precedent about how closely we are following the rules.

Although it may have not been specifically mentioned hank the purchase is no different than anything else in the turn that can be changed. To be clear, the point is anything can be changed (including combats and purchase, truly everything) if no dice have been rolled. :-)
Actually my purchase was initially 13 inf by the way. Actually since u r not moving till tonight Iand since the positioning on the western front doesnt affect your japan move directly, I still may change my move today. I am again considering going back to my original move.
i guess if there is any dispute about whether the buy can or cannot be altered if there are no dice thrown on the turn (the entire turn itself in my mind is a “noncom” including the buy) regardless in this case my initial buy was 13 inf. For the future, let’s clarify completely that if there are no dice rolled on a turn, anything and everything about that turn may be changed, in fact the entire turn may be redone, as long as the other team has not rolled dice on the subsequent turn.

I’ll wait to talk to my partner to have an “official” opinion, but I have one question - why don’t you just mock up your turn in local mode on triplea before posting? It seems that would be a way to avoid having to post 3 or 4 different versions of your turn. You are correct that your purchases (and most of your moves) don’t affect my turn, but it is challenging to download a file to look at hours later, make plans (both specific to Japan and generally), then find out you have changed your mind about something.
hank, here’s the question. would you rather have a map to look at that could possibly change later, or would you rather wait longer and have a FINAL map posted that cannot possibly change. the thing is, we agreed at the start that we would allow noncom changes until the next player rolled. the only thing here is it sounds like you were not thinking the buy could be changed, but i think you will agree that the buy is really no different than anything else in the turn since if no dice are rolled.
anyway, as i kept saying, since it has little to no effect on japan’s turn, i didn’t think you would be too bothered by a change. i don’t think i will be changing from the last map i posted, but if i do, it is most likely going to be to go back to the original move (unlikely). so now you have more information than you would have had if i had not posted two or three different moves. as allweneed loves to say, why ever turn down access to more information?
ok the chances that we will go back to the original map or something very close to it, are rising. bottom line, doing that move involves a lot more coordination and in an attempt to keep the game moving and knowing i didn’t have the time to fully put it all together, i went with the more conservative move. however, since we now have all day, i may go back to the original idea, which, as i said, has no real impact on japan.
so, for the time being, i’m giving you notice not to post japan until i have finalized the russian move, which will be sometime before 5 pm cst today.
cheers
COWard likes to play the game with zero changes
allowed to a map that has been posted. except for
when he want to change something on his own map
of course.
but i, in general, allow unlimited changes until i roll dice. i would rather have something to work from rather than just wait longer for a map to come in the first place.
i dont think hank13 realized that no dice were rolled (combat or convoy).
we will talk when we are both done work, but i think he will be ok with it. maybe he realizes that no dice were rolled and still doesn’t like it, and if that is the case we will work something out.
i have no problem with the edits. and would advise you to make your edits now before hank13 posts his move and locks your turn in.
my post is coming very shortly.
Lock’em in Hank!
Lock’em in!!!
hahahaha

did hank post yet??? did i slip it in in time??? WHEW
here’s the deal guys. this move is at risk - it can be changed but not if the time stamp of the post that changes it is later than the time stamp on the first MARTI email that goes out from Hank’s turn.
Tick Tock Tick Tock
this thing should now be locked in - unless i see some major flaw in my logic prior to hank’s roll! i don’t think there’s a flaw. but if there is, allweneed will find it. :-P

I agree convoy dice are dice that can lock in the move meaning no changes to noncoms ory buy even if no combat dice were rolled. I would still allow it if I determined that you gained no real advantage from knowing the convoy dice, but at least the person wanting the edit must ask and be willing to accept a denial if convoy dice were rolled.
The way I see it - no changes to buy or combat moves after combat dice are rolled and no change to noncoms after convoy dice are rolled UNLESS the other team is asked and allows the change.
If there are no combat or convoy dice rolled the entire move can be redone as long as no dice from any subsequent power (from either side) have been rolled. If any roll occurs then the question must be asked if a change can be made. If no dice rolled then changes can be made without asking.
