OK this is an old thread, but how could this song even be popular in the 80’s? I am not a “candy pop” fan by any means and think our “modern” styles are junky overrated “dolls” of scholastic inpassionate money hungry daughters of former music legends, but how the heck could you even get rick rolled? The dude doesn’t have beans as far as music goes IMHO!
OK, maybe I’m having a bad moment trying to cleanse my mind of that wonderful era and its gloriously hot clothes, but can someone explain the beauty of that song to me?

I don’t know if you guys ran across it, but Youtube had their own April Fool’s prank.
I was on there April 1st, and for some reason decided to click one of the featured videos (I never do). It took me to a RickRoll, as all the featured videos did. I got RickRolled by those bastards at Youtube!
