XDAP Final… eh, i mean, Semifinal - Allweneedishank vs. TeamBoldDutch

  • '12

    @allweneedislove:

    i guess it is best to hash out all the details before we finish the bidding.

    would you guys like to play with tech?

    i would like to play with noncombat move edits. we are usually even more lenient and sometimes allow other obvious edits such as combat walk ins on a one off basis, so please feel free to ask.

    at first blush i do not like your one time lowluck roll option. it might change how we make attacks knowing that you can always reroll a battle in lowluck you can bring in less force to key battles.
    i might be interested in another similar metheod or allow the one time reroll for the defender only. i will talk to hank and see what he thinks about 1 time lowluck rerolls.
    however, i would like to play lowluck for the whole game if you guys and hank would agree.

    if there is an illegal combat that arises throughout the game(could be due to lack of rules knowledge or just a mouse slip) i suggest that the opposing team can do one of two things. either play the the turn legit, or keep the illegal move.

    1. tell the offending team to keep the illegal move as is and play on.
    2. go back to the moment/roll of the actual error and redo the combat from that point ignoring all other dice that rolled after the illegal move.

    this allows the non-offending team to pick what is best for their side.

    do you agree to use this method for resolving any potential errors? i hope that there will be no errors but you never know.

    I am feel the same way about noncom edits… even if after convoy dice usually (but ask if dice were rolled after noncom).  And feel free to ask for combat edits like walkins and trn kills.

    Oops I added the last line within the quote box.

    Hank must be on vacay

  • '12

    Can someone explain what we are waiting on right now?

  • '12

    Atlanta axis graciously conceded so this match could bwgin and now your side has gone conspicuously silent?

  • '12

    We have rejected your offer which does not mean we are willing to give you the allies at no bid.  Now can we proceed with bidding in the normal manner?  If you wish to bid bomber plus 1 ipc for allies please state such.  Stalling is very unbecoming of a semifinal game in the prestigious first ever xdap tourney.

  • '12

    The bidder makes a bid for themselves not for the other team.  Garg can we get this show on the road?  I call clock on the stallers.

    As the great beasts of Axis and Allies.org now collide,

    I find this a rather appropriate theme song for this match-up.  Gets good at 0:20.

    As for the bid, Love will figure that out in short order.

    @Boldfresh:

    I am interested in the challenge flag but not in tech.

    i will talk to hank about the challenge flag.

  • TripleA

    @Boldfresh:

    So enlighten me.  Are u saying u want allies at 1 ipc + bomber?

    no.

    read the offer again.

    we will give you the allies and 1ipc to the allied power of your choosing.

    it is your turn to respond with one of two options.
    1. you guys can accept the offer and the game commences.
    2. you can decline the offer and increase the bid.

    excellent. we will play that you can make noncombat edits without asking. but for anything before or after a dice roll we will ask our opponents for permission.

    yeah hank is at his cottage without internet until tuesday.
    i know what side he wants for this game and how much ipc he wants to play that side. so i can do the bidding in his absence.

    we were waiting for a counter bid. it has only been 25 hours from my last post so it was not really a long wait. but we are still waiting for your counter bid.

    I agree with your post regarding an illegal move.

    Now it is you who must reread the thread because I gave a counter bid of bomber +500 ipc.  We have been awaiting your counter bid for quite some time.

    @Boldfresh:

    i propose that we just use current league rules for placement except add the caveat of 1 unit per territory.

    under that assumption, we will bid bomber + 500 ipc.

    cheers

    To save you some effort here is my counter offer.

    You can changw any combat moves prior to a dice roll unless a scramble or intercept choice was givwn.  Then you must ask to change combat moves.

  • '12

    Also u can only change noncoms without asking up until the next team rolls combat dice.  Then u must request it without expecting to get it.
