    I forgot again about your habit of sprinkling air fields everywhere, so I went ahead and scrambled for you against the Brit invasion of Malta.  I also assumed that the submarine was there to guard the two transports, so I let the Italian sub fight it out against the two US subs.

    In the turn it went like this
    Two us subs fight 1 Italian sub, lose 1 sub each side
    Three Italian fighters shoot up brit fleet, lose one fighter and two Brit war ships

    Alternately, you could have ducked with the sub and then taken that sub instead of the fighter loss, but then there would two US subs still there.  Either way is fine by me, so if you want to edit the position feel free to go with the alternate.
