Childish(and cowardly) behaviour
-
I don’t pay attention to it and recommend you don’t either. It doesn’t mean anything.
We went through the same thing back when there was a rep system.
-
Thank you Jermofoot.
I am getting there! -
Everyone knows it’s imperious leader. I believe this was established some time ago.
No sense beating around the bush.
-
@wittmann:
My thread rjpeters. I lost 64 points of respect in a matter of hours a few days ago. It is the third time now.
As I said it is childish and laughable. It did really get me down the first time, but I am over it now.
I know who my friends are here and who I like from reading and liking their posts, so nothing else matters really.
These malicious attacks are below most people here.what are these points of respect you talk of?
-
you can positive or negative anyone’s post by ticking up or down on the two arrows in the corner of someone else’s post.
I discovered it over a year ago and have used it a lot. I have never negatived anyone. I use it when I strongly agree with someone, or most of the time when I see someone has put a lot of work or effort into their post, sometimes to help answer a question. There have been posts I have not liked, but I could not negative someone.
We are all different. -
There. I just gave you a +1 for telling us about the little arrows wittmann….I had no idea.
-
Thank you hkytown1.
It is a fun thing to do. But only positively! When you get one, it makes you feel the time and effort you have spent writing something of interest to you is appreciated by others here on the site. Makes you want to post more and spend more time here. -

You never lost any respect, Wittman. Not with people you care about. Don’t allow anonymous trolls to upset you.
-
Thank you Herr KaLeun.

where do you go to view your own and others points of respect? -
Bottom of the Home Page under More Stats.
-
Baahaa…didn`t even know about that…and I’m with A&A longer then you wittmann… 8-)
-
You and I have to have some secrets Aequitas!
-
I have a theory, Wittman.
Weren’t you #1 on that bar graph for being “most respected” for awhile?
Perhaps someone is jealous. You get so many (deserved) up votes, that you are still +69 and after the anonymous down clicker gets tired of it you’ll no doubt rise again.
I echo the advice of others. You know you’re well liked, you don’t need a number to tell you that. You should ignore it.
I read the rationale of the current system when it was implemented. The idea wasn’t to show how respected or disrespected individual users were (although there is that bar graph in “more stats” that 90% of people don’t know about or ever look at), but moreso to judge individual posts.
Moderators (the idea went) would be able to see what posts had a big negative (like -5 or more?) and that would be a way of flagging bad posts for moderator attention, so they could delete it or intervene or whatever. So you see, a -1 on a bunch of your game playing posts really means nothing. He is trying to kick all your sand castles down, but he’s not even achieving that.
-
Thank you Gamerman.
I understand it was for easier moderation purposes.
I am fine as I said. But thank you for reminding me that my game play needs improving.
That Garg will be the death of me… -

:?
-
your game playing posts really means nothing
lol… I believe this was misinterpreted.
What Wittman is alluding to is the current game between him and myself, which… he had me on the ropes at one point, but the situation has since turned around.
I’ve blasted three major American fleets into the ocean floor, and the only real problem I face is a well reinforced and economically significant Russia.
-
Thanks for trying to help me understand
I’m still confused, but that’s OK :lol:I wasn’t saying anything about your game play, so I did not intend to “remind you” of anything about your game play. I know nothing about your game play except what Garg just said!
Why did you let him sink 3 American fleets??
-
Why did you let him sink 3 American fleets??
I know how Garg feels about Communists, so thought it would only be a victory if it came from Moscow. I needed an impotent America for this. I am now in a position to implement Operation Ivan.
Besides, I thought he would cry if I beat him the first time we played.
He seems a passionate soul. -

A likely story. :)
