Oh yea, and can the American warships be off the coast of Japanese islands when you are not at war with Japan? Â I thought you could not, but that may have changed in 2nd edition. Â If they cannot, you need to edit your Iwo Jima fleet placement on Russia’s turn. :P

Yea, Japan has to stay 2 spaces away from the United States Sovereign coast line (Alaska/W. USA) but America cannot be in any sea zone next to Japanese controlled territories.
So just move the SS/DD you have in SZ 17 somewhere legit on your next turn, it won’t effect MY turn.
