X-DAP FINAL - Dairy(Qyrn?) vs. TeamBoldDutch - Game 1

just so i don’t forget… if i do not declare war on G4, tripleA gives Germany credit for the NO of holding cau.  However, that NO should only be collected by germany IF they are at war with Russia.

    Pyrrhic victory in Yunnan…

Every place where allies can trade even losses with Japan in the beginnings is good for the Allies.

But, the Europe map does not good look good for the allies.

  • '12

i like that word pyrrhic.  pretty cool.

anyway, that victory in yunnan did come at a heavy cost but it did kill a lot of mobile units as well.

  • Omega, you’ve got to consider that the Axis only has to win on one map.  Axis just made it that much easier to win on the Europe map.  Even if Japan lost more than the Allies there, it would be a good attack
When you’re looking good on the Europe map, any contribution Japan can make to the Europe map is gravy

TripleA is probably coded to accept that properly.  I wouldn’t worry about it.  Either way it’s a moot point… if you dont declare war you are plus 5, if you do declare war, you are plus 5, but also get convoy raided!

  • '12

what i mean is, tripleA allows you to collect the +5 for trade with russian AND the +5 for owning caucasus.

  • '12

i do not intend to declare war, so tripleA will give me +5 for trade with russia and +5 for axis owning caucasus.

to state it as clearly as possible, both NO’s are impossible to collect on the same turn, but tripleA allows it.

  • @Cow:

Your daughter will grow up to be a hunchback with downsyndrome. You will have to burn a school down to get her out of the third grade.

I win here. I win there. I win everywhere. I do not have a little pissing and ing crying rat to take care of.  Aint nobody got time for that . You should have adopted, you would have got a better deal and instead of putting a retard on earth you would have taken care of someone bright.

Not cool at all Cow. Just because it’s the internet, it doesn’t give you the right to degrade someone’s daughter like that. Especially when she’s done nothing to deserve it. What a big man you are picking on a newborn girl.

  • @Gargantua:

This thread has seen numerous complaints.  Per PM’s both Bold and Dutch have agreed to refrain from derogatory commentary, as this has gone too far.

I expect Cow will be doing the same.  V hasn’t really engaged.

This purpose of this tournament was to promote cameradie and community, as well as tripleA.  Let’s not forget that over petty dice or differences.

Both parties in this game are supposed to represent some of the best Axis and Allies players at A&A.org, whether lucky or otherwise, that’s you.  Act like champions, if you want to be the champion.

Awesome just got to this part of the thread. Personal attacks of this nature have no business here.

    @Omega1759:

    Pyrrhic victory in Yunnan…

I guess the alternative would have been preferable to you?  Monster stack in Yunnan, having to try to defend Kwangsi from that stack, the Kweichow stack having to withdraw to Anhwe (making it obsolete for 2 rounds minimum), not being able to hold FIC, not being able to hold Malaya, letting the UK planes run around the board for the next 10 rounds….

I guess you would have stacked Hunan and abandoned Kwangsi? Or just stacked Kwangsi and moves the Kwe forces to Anhwe, taken the money islands, throw away a couple tnps and hunker down…

It’s a clear victory because it was the best choice and the dice did not make it a disaster.  China gets no NO and no artillery. Sets back the Allies in China a couple rounds.  But, if US goes all out at Japan, Japan will lose everytime, just a matter of time.

Seth, this is the type of players you get when Garg organizes a tourney and puts up a $200 bounty, I mean, prize.

Typecast Bold and Cow however you like
I think Bold is on the left

This has been a bit of a dangerous place lately.

Definitely feel like this song is playing in the background.

  • Definitely
    Glad someone else enjoyed
I thought it was hilariously appropriate (and we needed an icebreaker, right?)

  • One problem with dubbing your strat the DEATHSTAR, Bold

The Death Star got blowed up…. twice.

  • You sure got Cow’s fleet sucked in with the tractor beam, though!

Now the question is…… will his fleet hurt your space station as much as the passengers on the Falcon?

DOES COW HAVE ANY LUKE SKYWALKER IN HIM?

  • COW…… USE THE FORCE

I did not say it wasn’t the good choice. Japan has the most pressure on it that I have seen and there was a late declaration of war on top of that.

The Allies aggressiveness forced Japan to make this choice, which resulted in attrition (good for the allies).

Gamerman is perfectly right that casualties inflicted to planes / mobile units will help on the Europe map.
