Ahh ok, “jets” names fighters after successful research, alright.
So the conclusion is: Every air unit rolls at 1 in an air battle.
I was further confused by the Pacific rulebook:
• The attacking bombers and fighter escorts and the defending fighter interceptors will be
the only units participating in this special combat.
• The attacking strategic bombers will not fire in the battle, but they can be taken as
casualties. Players select their own casualties based on the number of hits received
during the air battle.
• The combat lasts for only one round.
• The fighters have an attack value of 1 and a defense value of 2.
I have to say I find this one more logical. It adds more value to keep fighters to intercept plus it is imo not super logical that a bomber which is specialized in bombing fights as good as a fighter which is usually specialized in air battles^^
bzt nvd, all air rolls at 1 in an air battle, confirmed!
Cheers!
