    Just to let you know, TripleA wanted to scramble fighters from Moscow but I denied the request.  Since the airfield had more than 3 damage you should not have had the ability to scramble.

    I actually did scramble you before I realized the mistake and my bombers shot down your fighter (that was the first set of dice sent tonight), but I reset the turn and played it out without the scramble, saving your fighter.

    Next time you attack a single loaded carrier (US turn, sz 25), don’t assume that the first two hits will be on the carrier allowing you to pull back and let the planes automatically perish.  That would never fly on a table game.

    I’ll let it fly this time.  It is likely if we changed the initial hits to planes instead of the carrier, having two bombers you would take the carrier the very next round with my getting only a single def roll @ 2, but that may not always be the case.

    Taking the carrier and allowing the planes to splash should not be an automatic assumption.

    You’re right.  I should have asked for OOL.  I am sorry about that. I wasn’t trying to be sneaky in doing so, I just didn’t think.  I’ll leave the bombers to try to splash the plane and CV.

    Just to let you know, TripleA wanted to scramble fighters from Moscow but I denied the request.  Since the airfield had more than 3 damage you should not have had the ability to scramble.

    I actually did scramble you before I realized the mistake and my bombers shot down your fighter (that was the first set of dice sent tonight), but I reset the turn and played it out without the scramble, saving your fighter.

    Fighter intercept isn’t dependent upon an active AB in the territory.  I could have scrambled, but I wouldn’t have. ;)
