  • Well, I had planned on taking Moscow by round 7 at the latest. But you pulling your Americans into the Atlantic and then the Med really distracted me some and split my resources. Couple that with how quickly USSR got Iraq, Tobruk, Libya, etc and I had a heck of a time trying to get enough stuff assembled to take on the Ruskies. I ended up needing quite a bit of Japan’s help to make sure I got Moscow, which I think cost Japan getting an early win in the Pacific. But I’d rather get the economic edge and deal from a position of strength than try and fail to get an early win.

    I think that’s game though. Germany has too much air and tanks left over. I’d assume you’ll probably try for Italy maybe. So maybe if I get diced there you still might have a chance. And no you didn’t get diced, average TUV swing would’ve been close to 73 and the actual number was 79. So maybe I should’ve had 1 tank fewer or maybe a fighter less and an extra mech.

    I ran the calc on that both before and after. The average TUV swing was 73-76 (numbers varied from calc to calc) and the actual battle was 79. Average pieces left for me was 39-40 and the actual number was 38. I probably should’ve lost another fighter and had another mech or two left. So no you didn’t get hosed, but you didn’t get that cowluck you were hoping for. The battle was actually pretty accurate to what the calc says should’ve happened.

  • And I have an issue with people saying they got hosed when a battle’s outcome was pretty even. You’ve gotten hosed in a couple battles here and there and so have I. I don’t think the dice have played a large part in this game, but they’re there. I’m not going to hold it against you as you were probably set on inflicting more damage, but there’s a difference between a hosing and average dice. But don’t call a mouse an elephant.  :wink:
