  • Well, that really sucks.  I didn’t realize you could move sea units through a sea zone that you conquered in the same turn.  If that’s true, then my fault for not knowing the rules.  Pretty much screws up my entire plan though - I may play a bit longer but will probably tender my resignation fairly soon…

  • Yes - sorry - it is a legal move and one you will see a fair amount of time. On the land side, it can be done as well - for example, lets say you are in Ukraine and Japan has Volgograd and the Russians are in Rostov. You can attack that - take it - and then non-combat mech and tanks through it into Volgograd.

    In any event, I hope it doesn’t leave a sour taste on the game (or me). The first time I saw this technique, it was against me and I had a similar reaction - but, as you can see, I adopted it as a strategy - LOL

    Also - I do NOT know what your long term plan was, and while I have ‘escaped’ there is still work to do. Let me know what you’d like to do.

  • OK good to know.  My plan in general was to preserve and extend my economic advantage, but now I’m starting to see the writing on the wall.  The obvious one is that I wouldn’t have overextended myself in Yunnan if I knew you could get to India so fast.

    I’m a bit choked because I put quite a bit of time and thought into this game and it’s frustrating that I didn’t fully understand that rule, which nullifies all my planning.  On top of it, the time now feels even more wasted since I’ve admittedly been spending too much time on this game in general lately, at the expense of other things that should be a bigger priority for me.

    So yeah there’s a bit of a sour taste towards the game at the moment.  To be clear though, this is my own fault and has nothing to do with you, so no need to say sorry.  And this particular game had been quite enjoyable up until that move.

    Anyways, sorry for the rant above.  I’ll get over it and I do appreciate having you as an opponent.  I think this game is now tilting in your favour and the writing’s starting to be on the wall, but I will play it out a bit longer.  I think I need a little break from it at the moment though, so maybe I’ll post tomorrow… sorry.
