Re Match 13L G40 - Mryogen (axis) vs Mallery29 (Allies +7)

  • That’s a strong accusation, but I will forward you the emails.  Because of this, I will also inform the Admin.

  • @mryogen:

I am now offically accusing you of cheating, way too battles like this to be consider due to luck.

Japanese roll dice for 6 infantry and 3 mech_infantrys in Kwangtung, round 1 :  1/9 hits

Do I now have to un-spam my email’s and double check every roll?

So let me get this straight . . .  you’re accusing someone of cheating without any proof whatsoever?

  • Wait - so lets see here. You roll 1/9 on round 1 - should have 3/9. On Round 2, you rolled 2/3, instead of 1/3. In the end, you rolled 3/12 instead of average which is 4/12 and this is grounds to accuse someone of cheating???

    Get real, dude…

    MM

  • @Mallery29:

VC exist in Asia.  Axis now have 1 full turn to resolve.

I stand corrected on this.  I misspoke on the Allied Victory conditions, and for that, I apologize.  When I’m wrong, I say I’m wrong.  I need two of your capitals apparently.

  • My attack was also under the assumption of the VC, but it still is probably a legit attack for me to do.

    http://www.dskelly.com/misc/aa/aasim.html

I had a 99.5% chance of winning with about average loss of 15IPCs.  Under the what I thought the conditions were, I was willing to sack a plane if it came to it…but I didn’t need to.  You rolled slightly below average on Round 1.  I rolled at average for Round 1.  This isn’t cheating, it’s math.  I’m ready to send the emails to you if you haven’t found them.  I’m sorry that you are upset, but this game is far from over.

  • @mryogen:

Do I now have to un-spam my email’s and double check every roll?

No, you should’ve done so BEFORE making an accusation like this. What works for me is setting up a folder for the dice rolls and then setting up an autorule so that all those dicey emails automatically goes to said folder. I used to create separate folders for each game and set the auto sort to send them to the right folder, but that got to be too much of a pain and I can find the right emails just by using the search function if I had any doubts about legitimacy. Otherwise a quick glance at the titles (ie battle and round) usually suffices. Marking them as spam negates the whole purpose of the dicey emails in the first place.

  • Ha, this is classic a cheater calling someone else a cheat.

Just sent Mallery my email address to forward the emails, so NO I don’t know the answer to this question yet.

    A)  What dicey are you using?
    B)  Please explain to me how you think he could be altering the dicey results.

Feel free to post any relevant information as well.

  • Jenn,
    Emails forwarded to you.

Mallery what do you think allied victory conditions are?

  • @Boldfresh:

Mallery what do you think allied victory conditions are?

I got so used to the Axis, I thought it was one thing, but as far as I understand, I need two Axis Capitals, which I admitted I was wrong a couple of posts up, but I wasn’t a dick about it.

When I had planned my attack, I was under the previous thought.  Would I still do the attack knowing what I know now?  Probably, because I needed to be aggressive in the Pacific.  I think strategically, even if I would have had to sack a plane, it was the right thing….tell me if you think I was wrong in that move.

My main issue is that a player that has had issues with others before and now with no basis saying I cheated is very insulting.  I forwarded the emails to Jenn, and I await her all clear.

I don’t intend on quitting or giving in.  If I’m going to lose this, I’d rather it be lost the legit way vice caving in to antics.  I said I was sorry, but I won’t have this BS stain out there which is completely false.

Mallery - you have to control all three allied capitals for a full round of play AND hold one of either Washington, London, Paris, or Moscow at the end of that round.  I’ve never seen the allied victory conditions actually get achieved because the axis will always concede well before.

  • '12

sorry meant axis capitals - Berlin, Tokyo, Rome.

  • That’s fine….Thanks for the help on that.

    @Mallery29:

That’s fine….Thanks for the help on that.

you are quite welcome - good luck with mr. yogen!

  • Just to play devils advocate, Mallery forwarding those emails really doesn’t prove he wasn’t cheating. He could’ve just emailed the corresponding emails to Jenn and held back the other rolls he hypothetically rolled. Having said that, it’s not really on Mallery to prove his innocence, it’s on mryogen to prove his guilt. I don’t doubt for a minute that Mallery is in fact innocent and he wasn’t cheating. In the two games I played him and a couple other games I’ve observed, I’ve noticed that mryogen either doesn’t have a concept of the odds involved in some battles and/or he just fixates on the battles that don’t go his way and ignores the battles that do go his way. Either way, while he does have bad luck from time to time (as does every other A&A player), it’s not nearly as bad as he thinks it is.

Why don’t we all just wait for Mryogen to reply to my request for information before we all split up and take sides and ruin everyone’s fourth of july?

Just let me know why you think he cheated and how you think he cheated.  Otherwise, just assume he gave up coitus as a sacrifice to the dice gods and that he’s paid for his malfeasance.  That’s what I do when someone does extremely well against me with dice. :P

  • @seththenewb:

Thankfully, not in the Cardassian Judicial system…otherwise I’d be screwed (death penalty for everything!)

Otherwise, just assume he gave up coitus as a sacrifice to the dice gods and that he’s paid for his malfeasance.

I was about to go into duty status on my ship, so I guess technically I was giving up coitus

This guy has not seen what happened to your planes that one time (he would accuse the entire universe of cheating) :-D
