yep, that was epic. my dice are incredible oh so often.
well, new life for you in a game you were on track to be terribly smothered in.
-
i think i took all mech for you - just clicked through. feel free to change your casualties however you wish.
-
if you can’t win now, then we know something’s up. :-o
-
traded 53 units for 25. and you came out with an extra 6 mech,
5 art, and 9 armor. should be interesting. -
for the record, i think it was a smart move what you did. however you could never have hoped in your wildest dreams for an outcome that sweet!
had it been a tournament game or if i was actually in the runnings for a playoff, i would not have made the attack. but i’m playing mostly to have fun and try new things and making that attack just plain runs the risk of a major dicing. on the other hand, the time i ran it in local, i was the one that ended up with about 15 units. very dicey battle, the type i would normally avoid since the dice typically HATE me.
-
It’s interesting you initiate so many battles when the odds aren’t in your favor. You also could have retreated earlier after recalculating odds per round.
I also find it interesting your perception on games. Maybe it’s just trash talking but you were nowhere near the dominating position you viewed. Even in the first game you were getting killed and had I been caught up with the VC situation with Japan you never would have won that way.
-
ok if you are so sure of it, let’s start over from R4.
-
that was a RIDICULOUS dicing anyway. i mean completely stupid dicing.
-
or i’m happy to just keep playing from where we are. still not going to be easy for you. just play and we’ll see.

don’t know what you are referring to as to battles i initiate when odds are not in my favor. but i will tell you this, if that battle goes to odds, you are DEAD IN THE WATER. you can’t afford to even come close to trading germans for russians at this point, and that was slated to be roughly a trade.
-
the safer move for the russians would have been to take 10 inf, 3 art, and the air at your w ukr stack and go sit in russia where you would never have cracked moscow.
more fun this way, that would have been a complete massacre. i like a challenge.
-
if i was playing cow, i would not have made that attack either, i would have just suffocated him. but i don’t really have anything against you, so i went for it :-P
-
plus if the dice are gonna do something that nuts, they could just as easily have done it when you attacked moscow with a 10% shot in a few rounds when you realized it was then or never. if the dice are gonna go that nuts, there’s nothing you can do. yeah i coulda retreated after round 1 but i decided i wanted to see if the russians could still win if they traded 3 to 1 for your forward stack. let’s see.
-
maybe i’m giving you too much credit, but i took it as a desperate move,
that you were hoping i would go for the dicey battle and get dice f’d
because you saw how hopeless it was to go for moscow. yeah you could have made it an
economic game if i retreated to moscow but if that battle goes remotely to odds, an
economic game was not going to develop for you (as you need southern russia to make that happen. -
will be a great game if you continue to refine your game and we ever meet in a tournament game. that would be fun.
