Call it what it is!
I dont take offense to the word newbe or beginer, we all were at one time.
I like to use the words “new player”, and we always team them up with the best players at our board, we show them as much as we can and explain why we do certain things and the game isnt the end of the world if you crap out on rolls or make a bad move.
We also tell them why we attack where we do and each player has a different plan of attack, and let them choose what they want to do. Some times we reset pretty early too
Its good when a newly started player gets good dice and they can hammer an old pro
FOX News Becoming Moderate?…
-
SOURCE :
http://www.usatoday.com/life/columnist/mediamix/2003-09-08-media-mix_x.htmAccording to the numbers FOX News was more negative(read as “liberal”) than CBS News during the Iraq War. So FOX is becoming moderate and CBS is leaning conservative? Armeggedon here we come!
-
negative = liberal …
too easy.(hoping that i am logged in this time)
Falk -
I’m not making the connection here. Just because they didn’t comment positively on the war 100% of the time makes them more liberal? Now, their hosting of the Democratic candidates’ debate, on the other hand…
In a perfect world, we would get our news without any opinions on it, but failing that, I want to have both sides presenting the same news and see how it comes out.
-
in a perfect world, the media would not exist, and we would simply recieve the information without that go-between.
-
It would work if we used robots to give us the news…
-
it wouldnt work, thats the point. a perfect world does not exist, and is not possible.
-
How about 1/2 hour of liberal news and 1/2 hour of conservative news. We could pick the one we wanted or watch both and have a better grasp of the whole picture as well as both slants. :)
-
FOX moderates in more ways than one…
Ok, now FOX is handling the “Democrat Hopeful Chats.” I heard some of it on the radio yesterday(?) & today. It certainly wasn’t a debate.
Nothing positive.
Bash Bush.
SOS. (Same Ol’ Shitt.)No wonder the news media is the only folks excited over this crop of “dandydates!”
Didn’t catch the ratings though.
-
The best coverage of the War was on MSNBC.
Fox isn’t liberal or negative, but I repeat myself… :)
-
…best coverage of the War was on MSNBC.
Considering the ratings they’ve been getting lately, they’d better pray for another war.
-
Jefe - you are right about that. For the most most part MSNBC is DREADFUL,
but their war coverage was pretty good. David Bloom’s reports were otstanding it was a shame he died. In general
Fox news is the absolute bes news on Cable.
Fox news.com is excellent too , but I like News max a little better!
