Hmm don’t know if I’ll get around to playing Europe any time soon. I went to kinkos the other day and printed off Axis and Allies Europe Advanced, so ima give that a whirl and see how it goes. I can’t wait to play with Italy :) You can really unhinge the Russian front in Advanced. Germans attack the first line of the defense, and then Italian tanks can blitz into the next line of territory. So the Russian player has to think about defense in depth! Also I’d love the idea of, Germany goes all out against Russia and Italy spends all its money tieing down allied convoys, and the allied fleet in general. I was thinking along the lines of a bombers off the west coast off france attacking with subs. Anyways I will tell you all how the game goes when I play it next :)
This game or the first one?

Hi, I’m new to axis & allies and was wondering if it is better to get the europe or the normal version. It is cool that in this one there is artillery and accurately modelled pieces, but i cant decid. What do you think? Thanks in advance. :D

I like the original better, but if you can’t get enough players to fill out all the slots, go for Europe.
-
I’d say AaA World… has all the basic pieces and a great starter then Europe if you have the money
-
I will only be able to buy one most likely, and maybe 2 0r 3 people in a game so is Europe playable with 2 ppl? or is the original?
-
2 players are playable with both… depends on the pro’s and con’s of both…bells and whistles or world conquest…
-
Just tell me whisch one is best for 2 people
-
I would say go for the original in that case, that way it will be more equal(Having to run 3 vs 2 instead of 3 vs 1) as to the amount of thinking you have to do.
-
yep then the original
-
Yeah well guess what?, Ima get europe. I don’t care. Hey if you play 2 people, does one have to be Germany, and the other person has to be USA, Britian, and USSR. or do they choose one?
-
Well, first of all, if you’re going to ask for advice and then ignore it, why bother asking in the first place? Second, if you have two people, one person is Germany and the other plays all 3 Allies.

well put GI…

If you’ve got 3 I would say Europe as one plays the Germans, one as the Russians, and the others as the Anglo-American forces.
For 2 or 5 I’d say World, 4 is good for either.

if you are a beginner i would choose the original when you get use to the game and know the rules well than you can try europe.
history is boring without war
-joshost -
Europe uses all the world rules and then a bunch more. Pacific uses all the europe rules then a lot more also.
So I think you should get world, europe, pacific in that order…
