I’m afraid after a thread has been posted it is no longer yours and your defined purpose in creating it not the most important consideration in its continued existence.  You may have given it life but you immediately cease to control its destiny.

I never said it was my thread.  I merely made a suggestion that the thread could be closed because it’s so far off topic.

In regards to (A):  Bull honkey.  Pizza becomes poop eventually, and everyone poops, therefore, it’s still germane to the discussion.  (Okay, it’s convoluted logic that won’t hold up to scrutiny, sue me.)

In regards to (B):  “There is no fate but what we make.”  Sarah Connor.  You do control the destiny of a thread by contributing too it (and thus MAKING your destiny.)  We are all interconnected in some manner or fashion.

In regards to ©:  Frak, guys, he’s an eating establishment, everyone patronize him immediately!  (I know what you meant, don’t care.  I choose to substitute a different use of the word and you have to deal with your fate now buddy!)

Lighten up.  No one is calling each other names.  Some of them are saying others are farting, others are saying they are eating establishments, I think we’ve all agreed that frozen pizza isn’t HEALTHY but it is FOOD in so much as your body can digest it and it won’t kill you if you eat it (at least if you eat it once, can’t promise if its all you eat.)

Is there a religious term for people that have faith in no afterlife or reincarnation.  I mean no generic term like atheist or nihilist.  Just people that somehow believe that they understand existence enough to be 100% sure that YOLO…

I didn’t think the saying “you only live once” had anything to do with a person’s belief about the afterlife.

“you only live once” means you only live this earthly life once, in my understanding.
A similar saying is “you only go this way once”

That’s how I heard it.  Still, you could say that and pull the trigger on a gun pressed to your temple and it would be just as true as saying it as you bid 0 in a game of axis and allies.

I’ve always thought it was live life to the fullest/max and let go of your fears.

A nice sentiment, but the population that uses it seriously are some of the biggest jokers I’ve ever met.  I mean that as a joke of life.
