    It was a 60/40 battle going in according to the new calculator, with your OOL.  As soon as you damage each carrier there’s 2 more planes that can’t land, so you can’t just run a calculator with standard OOL and expect that to be accurate, because it would assume you take 6 carrier hits first, which you did not do.

    Your first round roll was .67 hits above average, but mine was 1.5 hits below average.
    Your second round roll was 1 hit above average, and mine was 1.5 hits above average.
    Your third round roll was .67 hits below average and mine was .33 hits below average

    Because first round luck matters more than later rounds, my 1.5 below was not negated by my 1.5 above.

    What all this means is that you are actually having a close to average battle, but slightly in YOUR FAVOR

    And you are cursing and swearing, and complaining that 10% of G40 game results are due to skill.
    I don’t like it when people complain about dice when they’re getting average or better luck, and never say anything at all when the dice are strongly in their favor.  I don’t think many people do.

    If I give you the benefit of the doubt, you honestly believe that you are getting below average luck in this battle and just don’t know how to calculate it accurately.


  • I have reached the very sad part in a game when I am hoping for luck to save me.  Luck has consistently beat me down in this game.  The good first round changed my OOL and gave me a glimmer of hope at a luck swing back only to be crushed again.  The battle itself was average.

    Of course luck is part of the game, but of about 12 games that I am playing and have played, Luck has been more of a determinant than skill in 9-10 of them.  For a game that takes this much of a time commitment it shouldn’t come down to being 10% better than the luck in the game Risk.

    Thanks for checking.

    Yes, it’s legal.  Sea units must retreat to a sea zone that was friendly at the start of the turn.  It takes at least a destroyer to make it hostile.

  • move ceylon to india, I was sure that i had done it and thought it was some kind of mess up when I redid it and saved.  It wouldn’t let me edit right after combat.  Please move ceylon to india I REALLY DONT WANT TO BE THERE.  Everything else is legal unless you want me to do the turn over which would be fine with me.

    I moved 2 infantry to India and changed ownership of Ceylon because that’s what I think you wanted.

    Need scramble decision for Z35 and scramble and kamikaze decision for Z6

    As you could see in the combat move, I blitzed Siberia and then undid it.
    Got to thinking, my heavy bomber needs to land in Soviet Far East if it survives, so I do want to blitz Siberia after all.  I’ll edit it after getting your decisions

    You have 3 kamikazes remaining, in case you forgot or forgot how to find that information in Triple A.
