Well, that couldn’t have gone much worse for you…

Those two fighters were holding Japan back…

  • TripleA

    @Stalingradski:

I’m afraid I have no right being on the same playing field with you for this game. Fumble, fumble, interception, fumble, penalty, pass in the dirt, fumble, penalty.

A 57% battle to pull this game out of the fire in Moscow became 21% because I didn’t take the time to see the potential of Russian aircraft.

8 extra units in Egypt would have kept you out for another round, making the potential to win this game real for me.

For whatever reason, you’ve played mistake free in this one. I salute you.

Now, it’s down to a battle I have no right to win in Moscow. I don’t deserve to win it. When I don’t, I’ll happily concede this game to you.

I apologize for not being able to give you the same level of fight I’ve been able to bring to most of my matches.

I think you are greatly under-stating your abilities in this game. I can honestly say that I have not spent this much time planning, mocking and thinking about an aa game ever! Regardless of the outcome in Moscow, I think we are pretty evenly matched and I will chalk it up to a fair bit of luck that I have lasted to this point.

  • :-)

Thank you for that. You set yourself up terrifically with bombers in the Pacific, and I had never seen it. A huge part of the game is setting yourself up to take advantage of opportunities, and pouncing on them, which you did when I made the mistake of allowing a place in China for your bombers to land. After that, you ripped Japan apart faster then I’ve ever seen. It was really well done.

My hope was that I could still win on the Europe map… so close! I had a couple small mistakes at the end… once again, you set yourself up with your range and versatility (bombers) to take advantage of my mistakes.

On to a hopeless battle for Moscow… even if the dice go wacky and I manage a win, it will be a slim chance for me to get a VC because of the Egypt situation.

  • TripleA

Yeah bombers are pretty unstoppable in large numbers. Something I learned from being dissected in the Pacific from allweneedislove over the years.

  • So it ends!

Congratulations on the win. You very much deserved it. I’ll retreat to my lair like Shelob and let the wounds heal for a couple hundred years.

I’m up for another game whenever you are - did we talk about back to back with the same bid amount, me as Allies? Or did we leave it to a new bid round?

I think we said switch sides and same bid.

I’ll get us started. Thanks again for the great game.

  • You’re welcome - I’ll name my bid on the new game thread… it’s GoT time, so I’ll come up with a diabolical Allied plan later tonight.
