  • You will be pleased to know you got a radar hit (rolled a 2) in India, and that I only scored 2 hits on 15 firepower (I guess that’s almost average)

    but otherwise I’m having good luck in what few rolls I’ve made….  especially with getting shipyards with USA…

    Yeah, I know you dont seem to believe it, but I have about a 10% chance in this game.  For what little it is worth and I know you’d disagree I know in my head that unless there is signifigant swing back this loss is from bad luck.  Stemming from I1 catastrophe, german debale in volgograd, followed by german failure in caucusus.  You have had some bad luck here or there but not game breaking like those.  I said I wouldn’t complain, but shipyards at the perfect time when my only real chance is in the pacific?  That nullified a lot of your bad luck.  It will be my second loss from severe bad luck early in 10 games so I shouldn’t complain too much, its just said to play a good opponent and lose from extreme luck.  But… …it isn’t over 'til it’s over.

    Was thinking Italy would get TWO NO’s this turn, but no…

    Really trying not to rebut your comments - you DID at least mention once that you’re playing a good player - but to say there has been “extreme” luck seems whacked out to me.  I’ve played well over 100 A&A games over the years, and there was little “extreme” luck in this game.  Maybe you’re just more dramatic and use absolute words like “extreme” more lightly than I do…

    It’s just that if you constantly cite luck, it will often seem that you are dissing the other player.  That is, that you are only losing because of luck and it has nothing to do with your opponent’s skill, and that will often be taken by people as disrespectful.

  • Heck of a war!  Of course it’s always more fun when you’re in the drivers seat and getting decent luck, but this has been a fun game, thanks in large part to your neutral attack

    I hope you’re having at least half as much fun as I am.

  • The extreme luck was on I2, when I failed an 87% battle to take syria, followed with you rolling 5 for 5 when you should have had 3 in sz98 rd2 and I also hit one less than I should.  EVen if you had hit 4, I still would have had the dmg batt left to retreat to protect my trans off greece where I was going to buy a german airbase, finish off your fleet and still had an italian batt and 2 trans in play for italy instead of nothing.  In fact by odds on that strafe I should have had a dmg batt and a crz to protectr those 2 tran.  Imagine that neutral crush into turkey with any support from italy.  Last round your 1 sub off italy raided for 5IPCS it was insult to injury…  That bad a luck early removed Italy from the game and I fwill most likelyl lose.  A great player exploits those kind of flukes and makes it even more extreme.  This is the last I speak of luck with you because we see it differently.  It is part of the game.  I have about a 10% chance to win my mind now, so no this game is not that fun for me anymore, but we carry on.
