Heard more on the radio news than I found at the above webpage.
Was surprised when I went back looking through this forum for HIV/AIDS fora. Only perused first 10 pages(time on my hands), but found NO HIV/AIDS FORA!?!? :o :-?
Maybe I need glasses.
there sometimes is some discussion on AIDS etc. in developing countries, but it does not seem productive to point a finger at certain populations (i think that there is a high growth in straight women for that matter, but maybe that’s because they’re initial numbers were low . . . ).

From the various statistical sources I’ve seen, over the same time period, gays and IV drug users still account for over 95% of the AIDS infected population. That blows a hole in the “AIDS epidemic” sacre ploy that gays and liberal have been pushing for 19 years.
Let’s deal with the cancer, heart disease, stroke epidemics which have been killing more people for more years and not getting the funding that whinny butts have directed to AIDS.
Gays are happy(as evidenced by the “Back to the Sexual Revolution” increase, duh!) that they can now live with the disease for a few hundred $s a year.

Epidemics need an infection, thus most forms of cancer etc. can’t be epidemic.
For the “scare ploy”, over here it is pushed by conservatives, and even ultra-right wings against the “abnormal”.

even in medical circles “epidemic” is used more and more frequently to describe a disease that is increasing beyond current methods of control. For example, type 2 diabetes is considered to be an “epidemic” - especially in native communities by endocrinologists etc. even tho’ this is not an infectious process. Same with heart disease etc. Supposedly once the numbers start to go the other way, then the disease would not be referred to as an epidemic.

As a matter of fact, if it is an USAn “capital letter” news agency, it is liberal unless it has FOX in the letters. Some would say they are “fair and balanced”(their commercial). Though even I, a mild conservative(Nixon-Reagan-W style … not Hitler-Stalin-Mussolini extremist :D ) would call them conservative leaning. It helps them pull in conservatives and moderates who channel surf.
The scare ploys are similar and to the same purpose… Scare more money out of the gov’t. by frightening the people. You just have to change your wording … “gays” or “children” or “minorities” or “heterosexual women” or “bisexual men”. Take any of these or combine any minority adjective with a group noun. It stops the monotony for those who cannot recognize the same tune with different words. Soon we will hear that researchers are seeing an increase in HIV?AIDS within the "inflatable(adjective) clowns(group noun) community!!
