    WOWOWOOWOWOW

I thought you guys would ignore that Italian fleet, we pretty much threw it out there as bait so we could take London over with a late sea lion.

You did wisely place USA air on british guiana to counter that potential. Figured if that happened then Veqryn would just setup to attack Russia with everything.
    ~
I was prepared to lose an attack on India so that Germany could take Russia if I could just cut into the fighters defending India. I make enough income to recover from a big loss there. I also considered suicide attacking Russia with all my air, but I prefer to win with Japan so I prefer to go for a Pacific win potential attack.
    ~
Yay Italy did something in the end! I love it. All axis powers have properly diced the allies on all fronts. That is the best way to win! Win everywhere!

    GG.

I always plan for good luck. Just the other day I played a game of axis and allies and I had to land my heavy bombers on an AA gun. Russia’s 3 air units attacked my 3 heavy bombers and 1 aa gun… all three of my aa guns hit. That was just good planning.

I predict u will lose 2 straight in the finals - if not to us then to whoever you face.  You needed every bit of the unbelievable dice you got trust me.  :-P

  • '12

If either of those battles goes to odds you were in the hurt bag.  Oh well, the best laid plans are still subject to dice.  I didnt think there could possibly be dice bad enough to foil them but I was wrong.

Amazing.  Yeah if you can plan for good luck then get it it sure dramatically changes the game.  But get average luck or a little bad luck and youre toast I guess.

    Cheers

Actually I prefer to win from the losers bracket.  Get to face another quality opponent (will it be hank?) And then get you 2 straight .

  • TripleA

I prefer to go undefeated with lucky dice bailing me out at the end of every game.

hah, to each his own.  you are on the run of a lifetime.  the dice you got against atlanta axis and now us have got to put you in the top 0.01% or something.  :-P

  • TripleA

We like to win our games defending. In order to do that we have to make it tempting for our opponents to attack.

i like it.  we’ll see if it works again.

I suffered the same fate at the hands of the Dairy Qyrn!

Now we just need to see how the final turns out. :P

  • '12

you are telling me that DQ got miraculously lucky in at least 3 of their games?  hilarious.

  • TripleA

    Everyone needs luck.

  • '12

hahah ok cow.  well, i will say this, a guy who is playing the game with the expectation of getting greatly lucky and gets it is tougher to beat then the better strategist who is playing the odds.  in a low luck game you would have had your ass handed to you in this one but who would ever want to play low luck.

the thing is, when you plan for good luck and you don’t get it, you fold like a little girl, like you did to rommel…  but that’s how you play the game and i respect that, wouldn’t want it any other way.  you just better hope that luck doesn’t run out before the last game you play…

  • '12

Strategy can always be trumped by truly miraculous dice… absolutely no way around it… it happens.  Thats why garg made it double elimination.  Your chances of getting that luck in 2 of 3 games against us are nil.  :-D

  • TripleA

Would you like to play a low luck game? You would be surprised to see how much luck is involved in low luck.

  • Customizer

low luck games have different bids from full luck (dice) games, just fyi

whichever side has the “most attacks to do” in the first round (normally the side that goes first, but not always), benefits far more from low luck than the other side

this is why the bids for a low luck game of AA50th 1941 are like 15 for the allies right now

on a side note, this thread should be locked

no, i do not want to play low luck.  odds are your luck will come crashing down, and it will probably happen in your last 2 games.  that’s where you will be exposed.  the sad thing is you have no idea how much trouble you were in that game…  just no clue.  but whatever, we know and that’s all that matters to me.

    cheers

regarding the locking of the thread, i’m not sure why that would be necessary.  when we needed it to be locked, there was not a moderator available anywhere that could do anything about it apparently.  which is why i have tried to start support for getting an actual acting moderator for the burgeoning G40 population.  there are like 200 games already in the league through less than half the year and we have no acting moderator.

as to cow and my discussion at this point, no one is namecalling or being unruly in anyway, so i’m not sure how you or anyone else is being negatively impacted.

as far as low luck is concerned, just not interested in ever playing it.  i want cow and guys like cow to be playing the game  presupposing good luck, it’s to the advantage of the strategic player much more often than not.

    cheers

my offer of a league game still stands cow.  you need to stay sharp for the final ya know.
