@fieldcommander The only issue with the larger map 5x10 are the reach ranges. So if leave some space around the edges for pieces and such you might have a hard time reaching the middle of the board, like the all important Mediterranean, especially if you have short arms like me!
HBG should be making national flag tokens for ( Global 40) like these….

Yes.
I use the HBG Air and Naval bases, as well as Major and Minor factories. They are all the same size, stand out well, fit next to each other, and save space for real units. I like the uniformity.
If they make WW2 flags I would use them to mark VCs and to show conquered ones. Germany better get swastikas on their flag (realism).

I prefer the rectangle and they are easier to pick up and are way more sturdy. They already got USA, just need the other 8

Using the national flags.––You’re ideas are not only good ones,…but usually well thought out, logical, and useful. I believe most players would benefit from your suggestion for “national flag tokens”.
----For myself,…I’m very happy with having the national ensigns painted on the bases of all of my Infantry units for control purposes. This way I don’t need additional pieces all over the board.

Yea that’s a bit more involved for me. I just want easy to pick up and accurate flags, as opposed to something where the air force took over the national flag department and used fighter roundels.

That matches up with an army (navy) off board card that I was using in the Barbarossa game. No navy in that so just used for army. No other reason.
