You will get my naval on the counter attack. All those transports lost before island hopping is brutal.

If I had not declared war on the US and just declared war on the UK and Anzac that turn could the US still attack me then?

Yes. USA does get to go to war if you war with anzac and uk. (The reason you get the option to declare war on them separately is because USA can put destroyers to block you and you may sail right through them instead).
The reason I attacked that fleet was because of the transports.

Take away the transports from that battle and I ignore it.
