you know, i was gonna suggest that we just take it straight to odds and not roll the dice, but i figured i have a lot of ground to make up and the only chance after the sydney failure was to catch some good luck - well, that was quite a catch!  and just in time too, because you have solved the pacific it looks like.

everything kindof came together perfectly for
that attack.  i even had a significant buffer, i figured if the battle started very badly i could scuttle the carrier but if started well i’d keep it and park in 109.  never in a million years would i have imagined it going that way.  the reverse, yes, but not in MY favor.  :-o
