Why does amazon get no love around here?

Coostuff has no tax and no shipping. Amazon not so much. I buy alot from Amazon ( music and movies)
-
I think Cool stuff has a shipping charge if you spend under 100 bucks. If you spend over that(2 copies) I believe it is free.
-
Thats what I saw. Over a 100 free shipping, but I never did see on coolstuff where to order. Must of missed it.

For those who missed the link, Amazon now has the game on preorder:

Thank you Flashman.
You waiting or ordering now? -
Me personally, I think I’ll wait. Ain’t payin’ £75!! :-P
-
Hi Loz. My last few games have come from Infinity in Cardiff, but Flashman thought they may have ceased trading.
I am happy to wait a week or two. -
Still weighing it up. I want to support the concept, because I mostly like the new rules, and I want to see more WWI products.
But the board is gaudy and too small, the artillery and fighters are too tiny, the rulebook is evidently the usual monkey-written rubbish.
£75 for, um, the tanks, and, er… some of the infantry sculpts look good. Maybe wait for the 2nd edition that IL is convinced will come along next year.
It might have:
A useable board.
Bigger fighters.
Bigger artillery.
The Europe 1940 French infantry, preferably as part of a French unit set made in horizon blue.
East Prussia in Germany.
Mines and USW zones clearly marked on the map.
Mexico
A rulebook written in comprehensible English. Everything stated clearly, nothing implied.
Different sculpts for each side’s mechanical units (not too bothered about that myself).
Realistic US entry rules, and a 1917 scenario for rednecks. Actually I can make up whatever rules I want. It’s the physical product that makes the decision to buy. After all “official” rules in the world of A&A are a vague suggestion on how to play at best.
Armoured trains with frickin’ lazer beams on the front.
-
Another pre-ordering option is to go to your friendly local gaming store (if you have one nearby) and reserve a copy of the game ahead of its release. For the past ten years or so, I’ve done that for all the new A&A releases. That way I can be assured that I’ll get a copy, and I know that I’ll get my hands on it as soon as the release date arrives – my FLGS is always very punctual about this.

Yes, and there’s also the fact that it’s much easier to take the supplied physical product and create your own rules than it is to take the supplied rules and manufacture your own physical product. Even as far as the board is concerned, there are plenty of people who have the talent and the software to design their own game maps, and plenty of commercial places that will print them out for you in colour. So the only components that are impractical to make on your own are the sculpts – and for those, we have commercial sources like HBG which help to fill the gap.

They can probably make a bigger profit out of us Brits.
