    I may have blown it with my Russian gambit, but whatever… I had no interest in turtling up in Moscow and having this turn into a 20+ round extravaganza while GIs walk across North Africa.

    The Pacific half is too heavily weighted in Japan’s favor for the Allies to have any real chance against competent Axis play.

    Hmmm… I think I just found a TripleA bug.  UK-Pacific should have 13 IPC, but instead they have 11.  I think the game is counting West India to the Europe economy, but it is supposed to be part of the Pacific economy (and all of Canada goes to Europe).

    Whoops, false alarm- I forgot that I had saved 1 IPC and lost some to Convoy damage from the Japanese DD.


  • Japan does start with an advantage - though I used up all my navy running around killing your various navies - which may or may not have been a good idea. As it is, Japan is just trying to hang on now and let Germany get large.

    I agree - as an Allied player, I have often found it very difficult to take on Japan head-on - at least not until later in the game and that is if the US fully throws its money against them. The number of planes Japan has alone is nuts.
