you choose - you must state which carriers they are on, tripleA does not keep track of it. anytime you have acc’s of a different power in a zone and you fly in fighters of other powers, you must specify exactly what acc’s they land on. the reason is obvious, because those acc’s can move planes of a power other than theirs and essentially extend their range. also makes a difference if you are going to attack with the american carriers say. since the anzac and british ftrs are on separate acc’s then you have 2 carriers with cargo aboard so if they sink the planes go down with them, and if they take a hit, the fighters cannot take off until the carrier(s) is repaired. so they are on separate carriers. it is unnecessary to state how the ftrs/tacs of the same power as the accs are on configured (ie, if you had 2 ftrs and 2 tacs and 2 acc’s, it doesn’t matter if there are 2 ftrs on 1 acc and 2 tacs on the other acc or whether they are mixed) but it DOES matter if you have fighters of another power on the US acc’s.

to be clear, this is an error that tripleA makes - so far we have been unsuccessful in convincing Veqyrn to correct the issue. the acc’s should keep track of exactly what planes are on them just as transports keep track of exactly what units are on each.
