  • Not to interrupt…your discussion about the subs was interesting. I always thought that subs have the option - both attacking and defneding - of a submerge BEFORE any dice are rolled. This was true in AA50 for sure - I am not sure why it would change in G40. Perhaps it is an issue with TripleA?

    It was a misunderstanding on my part… I thought the Sub rule clarification was from Europe '40, but it is from the original Europe game.  I’m not sure why HBG finds it necessary to have units operating so differently in different versions, but what can you do.

    Something is wrong with this battle, I didn’t get any rolls for my Cruiser and BB.  I think it took them off the board since they are being used as Bombardments, but that is NOT what I asked for.

    I’m going to restart the battle from scratch, but leave out the TTs.  If I win, I will edit the map so I get my moves into Albania and Greece, if I lose, I will edit the map to have retreated TTs in SZ99.  I’ll still need an OOL though.

    I can try a new game with the same sides & bid.  At least I convinced myself the northern route is in fact a waste of time if the Japanese player is too smart to respond to it.
