Simon, I am also baffled by what happened in Russia since we are missing the critical first few rounds in that BM game. Adam is one of the top players, if not the top player, in the world and I am sure that he didn’t make mistakes. Unfortunately the thread missed out on the initial setup and openings so I can’t explain how Moscow was so easily captured. Regardless, the Allies are still very much alive and the combined factories in Egypt and Iraq are making it very tough for the Axis to push further south. I am sure that Adam will fly over a bunch of planes when it is critical to make a stand in the oilfields.
Capturing Major IC with damage markers
-
Japan took India. India had 14 damage markers on it. Major IC turns to minor IC. What happens to the damage markers? Reduced to 6? Removed all together? All 14 stay?
Currently in game, thanks for your help.
-
reduced to 6
-
I believe that this was asked before. The answer then was that they stay, because if retaken by the original owner all of the damage that was done would still have to be repaired.
-
The major IC gets reduced to a minor IC which can only hold a max of 6 damage points. All other damage is removed above 6.
First paragraph pg. 21 Europe Rulebook
“Any damage previously inflicted on a facility remains in
place until it is repaired (any damage markers beyond 6
on former major industrial complexes are removed).” -
elevenjerk has the right of it.
No industrial complex can have more than the maximum allowed damage.
-
Besides which, when it gets retaken the original owner still has to pay the upgrade cost if they want to get full use out of it again, so there is still an IPC expense with it.
-
Along with the damage if it was never bought off before it can be upgraded. It could be a 26 IPC expense for the original owner to upgrade it back to the major.
