    The Far East harbor has great potential but i dunno if it was feasible in this particular game, given Germany’s ardent Barbarossa.  Russia probably can’t afford it.

    Overall I think the northern strat gave USA a great chance of catching Japan off guard, and many players would probably lose Tokyo.  But if Japan is being watchful, and you don’t get Tokyo, then its hard to win if you’re not trading the money islands and if you’re not helping UK in the Atlantic.
