@wadkat What conflict will be taking place on this map? Are the Central Powers rethinking surrendering, or is it a battle between communism and the West?

Been a few weeks IL any news? I got 2 buddies I think who might want this one as well. Fall is right around the corner I know you said that wasn’t a for sure but heres to hoping.
-
This is looking as a 2014 release after phone conference with all involved.
That is what i wanted anyway…August 1 2014 release…100th Anniversary of Great War.
The sculpts are mostly done with exception to how the fortified infantry will look and one other sculpt.
Map tweeks are coming. We just take out time to make it perfect. No pressure.
-
Thanks for the info. I don’t want to have to wait but if we do and its done right. I can wait. Keep the info coming IL. I love seeing the pieces and map looks really cool.
-
IL,
––That sounds good and I’ll keep this EXCELENT game on my radar.

Hey IL, is there any way you could possibly do a monthly update on this game? I know that I personally am always checking this thread to look for new information. I would guess that I am not the only individual doing this. :D I think that a monthly update would be awesome even if there is nothing new to say….just to keep us informed.
-
Ok the game will have at least 700 sculpts, and probably 750 'ish
It will most likely be ready in Spring.
The producer is going to China to finalize everything as all the sculpts are done and map is being reworked yet again. We are perfectionists and never satisfied.
Producer says pieces in at least 12 colors will be available BEFORE the game comes out. Personally, i want the game to sell first and pieces sold latter, but that’s what he wants, so it is.
The game has 9 colors of sculpts including neutrals.
That’s all i got now.
-
Wait, so the pieces are being sold and the board will be sold after, is that what i’m getting? and thanks for the update :D
-
It’s been a little over 2 months since anything has been posted on here. Anything new? and again, I hate to be the guy asking for info but this game has an extremely large amount of potential. I’m just really interested in where its going. :D
-
Release is most likely August 1st 2014. When i have info i will post.
I don’t fake fluff my threads to draw interest. The thing will sell itself.
The pieces will be ready to sell apparently the same time as the game comes out.
-
Cool IL. AA1914 is okay but not a favorite. Call me a buyer.
-
August will be here before you know it. Can’t wait for this one.
-
I will buy a copy for sure!!
IL you should post Front Reports like LH to increase excitement
So we could learn some Rules and were ready to play in August…
-
Well i suppose i could do that with some rules posted in sections so people can learn the game. I am kinda busy but will make time to do this.
-
I am very interested in this game also! Keep up the good work, I will await your updates.

Its sad that there is so few information about it yet.
Also a homepage would be nice…
-

-
Nice work, IL, looking forward to play it.
Any change you gonna make an entry at the BGG ?
-
IL, do you have a page for this anywhere?

_The Conflict is a global-strategy based game designed around the economic and military conditions of Europe in 1914. Players play in one of two alliances, The Central Powers or The Allied Powers, to defeat their opponents. Players choose among seven nations (Austria-Hungary, Germany, Great Britain, France, Italy, Ottoman Empire, and Russia). After selecting a nation, players take turns completing their objectives during each round.
The Conflict has been extensively tested and designed by gamers for gamers. Players will take their turn each round to strengthen their tactical advantages and defend the borders of their nation. Each turn is broken down into Phases. Players must complete each previous phase in order to proceed onward with the rest of their turn. If a player decides to enter into combat with another player, they must, along with their opponent, roll a set number of D12 dice to determine the outcome of each individual battle. The Conflict uniquely deducts a combat penalty from the player with the weakest military strength in a territory. This combat penalty is taken off all of their dice rolls during the individual combat. The combat penalty allows for the strongest opponent to have a real-world advantage over their enemy, if they have a larger military presence in the area. Players can develop multiple (land, naval, and air) strategies to succeed. They can utilize 11 military units with unique capabilities to complete specific goals, upgrade technology, play one of three victory scenarios, as well as try a variety of player preferences.
