did someone say that fortresses had an attack value in these strange circumstances?

I think the fortresses were given an attack value so that if enemy units had moved in during peacetime of open borders, they could use the attack value during their combat phase. A zero attack power would cause the forts to lose during their combat phase if their nationality moved before their opponent’s turn.
I’m ok with resolving your move via forum to fix the error during the politics phase.

Apparently they didn’t go through with changing the fortress attack value. It was talked about though, precisely for this reason. I’m fine with editing the attacks btw.

How were they risky with the number of bombardments? bombardments dont fire back here. The only questionable one was brittany, and I hjad hoped for to bleed a bit more at least…

My entire fleet killed because I reinforced UK’s fleet and he ceasefired you. I even said him this was going to happen but I guess you have better deals. My fault for helping him. Game is done for me, will continue playing it but I’m not really going to enjoy it.
I’ll take over for the big baby if you folks don’t fancy the AI & want someone to play a down n’ dirty Ottoman.

The only reason I broke my alliance with the Ottomans was because it became AI and I wanted to watch my back. Since we have a real person again and I believe it will super help the game, I want to propose not attacking him on my turn. The edit would be easy and I won’t feel so bad for the new guy. If you all agree I will edit spains map acoordingly and the ottomans can have their units back and convoy zone back. In the interest of full disclosure this will also give me a fusileer back. Either way I will wish makeitround welcome and hope to keep the ceasefire that is kinda in place in place if edit is allowed!

I’d like to add that the only reason I stopped being Allies with the Ottomans was because they were AI… a friendship with them had been a huge part of my overall plan, and I had made it happen.
Not sure what to do!
Maybe I’ll propose an alliance with them? :-D
