    The naval attack itself was illegal. Britain attacked with three single-engine planes (in addition to its bomber) despite having possible landing places for only two of its planes. If it wants to redo the attack, except with only two single engine planes plus the bomber, that’s fine. If it would rather forgo the attack entirely, that’s fine also.

    No, there were actually 4 possible landing spots. The US carrier in SZ56 provides 2. The UK carrier which began in SZ80 provides another 2 because it could move to SZ39 (planes go: India >> SZ39 >> SZ38 >> SZ37 >> SZ38 >> SZ39).

    No problem … I assumed that Japan would kill a fighter and this wouldn’t happen.  Kilroy thought the rules let you ditch them if you want so long as you could have landed them, but I see Krieghund saying in the FAQ that you must land them if you can.

    If we don’t hear from Kilroy soon, do you want to redo that portion of the noncombat move to make it rules-compliant? I don’t want to sound overly impatient here. On the other hand, I want to make sure we finish the game before the deadline.

    I also used EDIT to restore the tactical bomber which sank into the sea and placed it on the carrier in SZ39 since it must land according to the rules.

    Sorry for the delay. Our team never discussed what would happen if Japan didn’t get any hits in SZ37. Strategically speaking, this was an unlucky outcome (though failing to clear SZ37 would have been worse I guess  :lol:).
