Well the Canadian troops didn’t look any different and they were as elite and elite got in the British Army.
-
Yes, but Canada is on the map, so Canadian units can be raised. I just hope this game doesn’t ignore the Anzac contribution just because they couldn’t stretch the map that far.
-
I don’t know what compelled them to distort Africa as much as they did. It looks ridiculous. That map is terrible.
-
Well if your going to have both NYC & Bombay without an overly huge map-something
had to give (in case Africa). The German colonies were less than a side show so why the
entire South Africa region was include is an interesting question. Can’t wait for some better Board pictures.

we I don’t see anything that looks like a IC piece but I do see what looks like maybe in my worst nightmares as a cardboard IC
-
I think they are printed on the map, so no cardboard
-
i hope no card board (like i don’t just use the plastic ones from older games anyway.)

Just roughed out an eastward expansion of my map to reach India. Need to read more about CP invasion of Persia to finalize this; may make Makran and/or Afghanistan impassable, but that makes India invulnerable.

Also need to research the various tribes in Arabia.
Wondering if its worth adding Haiti:

what game is that map for?
My own version. Always like to make my own game from the best bits of those coming out over the next few years.
Actually it started off as an old AAE map of mine; this is what I want a WWI game to be. The national colours are for reference, I prefer plain green for the map with relief and railways printed on it. Turkey should be tan rather than orange, I’m limited by the prog’s palette.

then why are you posting it in the Axis and Allies 1914 forum? shouldn’t that go in the Axis and Allies Varients or House Rules section?
-
But Haiti must be in Larry’s game.
I suggest they start with 3 dreadnoughts, 2 cruisers, 3 tanks, 2 artillery and 6 infantry

This.

+1, please leave house rules in the house rules forum.

Taking another look, I am 95% sure bulgaria is under German control.

I managed to copy and paste it into a PowerPoint, which then let me stretch the picture to fit the page. When I view it in slide show mode, it pretty much fills up my screen. It does start to get a bit blurry at that point, but you can still make out some details. I can’t figure out how to post it here though.

Is the picture you’re talking about the WotC PDF mentioned in Reply # 1 or the map shown in Reply # 35? I’m not sure to which one you’re referring.

Oh. Â Sorry. Â I meant the WOTC flyer. Â And I only grabbed the little rectangle with the picture of the map, box, and playing pieces. You can’t actually read anything printed on the map, boxes, or battle boards. But you can tell that there are some charts and such printed on the map where the Sahara is. Also, if this is the actual set-up in August 1914, it looks like the Russians are about the take a beating. I see two large stacks of Austrians, and one large stack of Germans, each with about 7-8 infantry. It looks like the Russians don’t have more than 2 infantry per territory. So I’m guessing there must be something in the combat mechanics that prevents a blitzkrieg.
