@Running-Away Per page 22 of the rulebook, units of another power may be transported only if that power is friendly. Per page 12, the US is not considered to be either friend or enemy to any other power while it remains neutral. Therefore, the US cannot transport units belonging to any other power while it is neutral.

There also appears to be a meercat on the box - just below the Kaizer’s hand.
If you are talking about the image below his right hand, I believe that is supposed to be Sgt. York

Looks fine to me, though I would say the Russians are Brown more than maroon, which is fine by me, maroon would be terrible.
-
I love the rotated map! Can’t wait to buy! :-)
-
Does anyone else feel it looks too much like a “toy”?
Garish colours, dramatic infantry poses; Ameritrash comes to mind…
I want something between this and the hex & counter alternative, but it seems ILs new game is my best hope.
The meercat can only be seen on the box laid out with the board. Effects of pixelation. Directly under the Kaizer’s hand.

I will not let anybody down. Our map is normal angle with the middle east and top of north Africa represented.
I will post more pics, but in a separate thread.
-
OK, like to see the map scale you’re using.

No? Color wise it’s not much different than the original Pacific and that’s still my favorite of them all.

I know the picture does not tell all of the setup but it looks like there are 0 German ships in the Med, which having ships there was one of the things that really set the Great War apart on TripleA.
-
I’m drooling
-
Holy Cow AH and Germany have HUGE numbers of men compared to everyone else.
-
Balancing method, especially if Italy starts at war.
The map looks very crowded in the middle, even without aircraft. I suspect it’ll need off map army holders to be playable, especially on the Western Front.
No Malta or Gibraltar?
I like having southern Africa, but not if it makes Europe so small.
Portugal is a French stooge state? No French garrison in central Africa?
Still, the rules will be the most interesting thing, and could yet make this a classic.

do we know that’s an accurate set up? Remember French tanks in Africa on the Europe '40 box
-
Looks very cool. Definitely a must buy. Map at an angle is cool but might be awkward at a table- maybe. All else seem very nice. :-D
-

Yeah, no planes suggests they put the pic together before full production.
Even so I’m guessing either army boards or stacking limits to avoid overcrowding the Western Front. No boards mentioned, so stacking limit: say 15 units per area? Would force players into buying mixture of units instead of buying big piles of infantry.
The price doesn’t seem very nice, especially when you add shipping cost. Probably set me back £100 Sterling by the time it gets over here.
And I’d still be short of cavalry, destroyers, 3 types of aircraft and 2 types of artillery. Call it a starter set…

Yeah I’m assuming it’s a simple promo shot that doesn’t actually reflect the start set up.

Wonder how the Anzacs enter the game - I’m assuming they are represented somehow.
They could almost be U.K. Elites - equivalent to German Stormtroopers - since they were at the forefront of the final Allied drive to victory in the West.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Amiens_(1918)
Maybe some form on N.A?

red chips, blue chips
-
Well the Canadian troops didn’t look any different and they were as elite and elite got in the British Army.
-
Yes, but Canada is on the map, so Canadian units can be raised. I just hope this game doesn’t ignore the Anzac contribution just because they couldn’t stretch the map that far.
-
I don’t know what compelled them to distort Africa as much as they did. It looks ridiculous. That map is terrible.
