    Well, that’s the most polish I could put on that turd… A little air freshener and it would be a pine-turd-scented polished turd. That stupid UK carrier cost me a ton in the med… 3 rounds it took to kill that g-d thing with a destroyer, 2 cruisers, and a battleship, and cost me a destroyer and a hit on the battleship. If it took only one round to kill it, I’d have had a 66% chance of facing the counterattack with a full undamaged fleet, and I’m not sure if you make that attack at probably the cost of all of your navy and 2 planes.

    Another painful lesson learned. I’d like some lessons where I can learn them without getting killed.  :lol:

  • Thank you. I have a problem with my Japan move. I wargamed the whole thing in local mode and was happy with it. Then when I ran the real thing, I figured out that the 2 bombers that I bought on J2 could reach the battle, too. That allowed me to move some planes around and I decided to sink the US sub, too, in z42 - which wasn’t in the original plan (I was just going to hit the AZ sub with a Kwangsi bomber initially).

    Here’s the problem: the board now sits as it would at the end of my non-combat and the tac that’s in z42 (who was originally supposed to be in the battle off of DNG, and was “replaced” in that battle by the bombers from Japan) doesn’t have anywhere to land. He was supposed to land on the carrier in z35 when he was attacking off DNG.

    May I: restore your US sub to z42 (moving my destroyer back to z35 and the tac to philippines) and treat it as though I didn’t attack that sub? Treat the tac and destroyer as though there was no battle. The bomber from Kwangsi still sinks the undefended transport as in the original plan.

  • I’m telling you, those lone-ship battles are friggin killer in this game. Round 1 makes a huge difference - like when you won the coinflip US2 with the 2 subs against the 2 destroyers and sunk the 3 trannies as your reward.
