I’m sorry about that - stuff like that can mean the game. I think a similar thing happened to me in our first game, when I attaked your Japanese position in Yunnan with 6 infantry and a fighter and failed to get a hit… it meant the loss of India for me.
Moments like these are why I’m a big fan of modified low luck.

No worries - I had a game where my opponent did a pre-Sealion SBR and got shot out of the sky 5-5 on AA guns. 1 in 7776 chance.
